On Sunday we went to our yearly Phillies game with my family. Usually it's blazing hot and usually the Phils will pull out with a win. This year it rained off and on and they lost (and it wasn't pretty). It's not about the score, though. It is always a fun experience. And, this year was memorable in that it was Summer's first game and Ellie got her first ball! In the last inning of the game there was a foul ball in section next to us. Both my husband and I were a step away from grabbing it, but a (Mets) fan grabbed it before we did. We were so disappointed we didn't get it for Ellie, but the announcers (above us) saw what happened and threw a ball to Ellie. Her first baseball! She was very excited and waved and said, "thank you!" It was too cute.
