DIY Christmas Banner
As previously posted I wanted to create a Christmas banner to hang on our mantel. I'm very happy with the result. I bought white poster board, gold paint, a paintbrush, and red ribbon from Michael's and spent an evening in our office working on this project after Ellie went to sleep. I measured and cut out the banner, and used a ruler to draw the letters in pencil. I wish I had gotten a smaller paintbrush. Mine was a little too wide and it was hard to stay in the lines. I didn't want to wait another day to finish my project so I was a patient as possible while painting. From afar you can't tell that one of my letters isn't perfect. :) After it dried I used a hole puncher and red Martha Stewart ribbon to thread the holes. This was a very inexpensive ($5 max) and easy project that could be done for any holiday or special occasion. I will definitely be doing this again in the future!
