- My Vanity: This was an old Ikea desk, which I painted white and covered the back with printed wrapping paper. This is in my hot pink dressing room and where I get ready everyday.
- My Favorite Room: aside from my newly revamped dressing room, this room is my favorite. Initially, it was going to be a "sitting room." However, that translated into the couch being used as a door hanger. The room was barely used. My husband and I began "calling" the TV in the great room- he wanted to watch sports and I wanted to watch my shows. Neither of us wanted to watch TV in our bedroom. Needless to say, he went out and bought another flat screen for the front "sitting" room. He stressed that this TV was for me, but somehow this one became his and I watch my shows in the great room. However, he got the better end of the deal. He has the wood burning fireplace, which is a perfect spot to watch TV on those cold nights. The only reason we don't switch is because the dvr is in the other room and most of what I watch is dvr'd. I know, this sounds like an ordeal. But, it works! I still love this room with my zebra rug, the fireplace, and the beige color scheme with pops of purple and blue. This room also holds our china closet, displaying my pretty china.
- Wallpaper Obsession: I absolutely love the beautiful wallpapers that are available. I haven't (yet) put up any in our home, but I always lust over it. There are so many options and so many colorful and fun patterns.
- Spring Color Inspiration: Color makes me happy, especially pops of color in a space. These photos make me smile and I look forward to blogging on more color inspiration.
- Candice's Luscious Design: What would I do with Candice Olson on HGTV? I love everything about her- her design, inspiration, personality...enough said!
- My 1 Year Wedding Anniversary: my husband is my other half. I'm so happy I met him 8 years ago and married him on July 3rd, 2009. I am even more excited to be expecting our first child, a daughter, on April 7, 2011.
- DIY Projects: one of my favorite pieces of furniture. How can I say otherwise? I bought it for cheap on Craigslist and painted it a glossy black. It's the perfect addition to our dining room and hides my zillion cookbooks!
- My New Closet: of course, one of my favorites. Finally, my walk-in closet in my pink dressing room. Loving it!!
I look forward to a full year of blogging with an addition coming in April.
Cheers to 100 posts in 2010 and many more in 2011!
