I love the many purposes of a tray. First, I love tray tables. I bought this tray table (below) at HomeGoods in the bath section about 8 months ago for $40. It is very similar (I'd say 100% similar) to one by Jonathan Adler for $595!!! I've seen tray tables being used as a coffee table, for bath towels, books, food, to hold alcohol & barware.

I also love using different trays throughout the house for the same purposes as above. It is also especially useful when you have a large ottoman for a coffee table and need a stable surface to hold drinks, etc. I use a tray when we entertain buffet style to hold condiments. I also use another larger tray to hold magazines, one to hold cookbooks in the kitchen, another to either put on our ottoman when watching TV or, when not in use, put on our console table.
